Pros: Android TV, Full-HD display, decent connectivity and sound features.
Cons: Average processing capabilities and doesn’t swivel.
Summing it up: I personally think that this is a very smart TV in regards of size, software capabilities, sound and price. If however you’re looking for something with a 4K display, then you should its siblings, the 84L9300 and the 58L9300.
Another TV from the Pro Theatre series Toshiba is offering in 2014, this is the 39-inch member of the L4300 of Android TVs which is also available in 50-inch. This is a mid-range television that’s now available for purchase in Egypt. So what’s an Android TV? And what are the specs and features of this TV?
The TV is generally moderately sized, however considering that it has a 50 inch screen, it could have easily been much slimmer. It has a 17 mm narrow bezel with round corners on a matte background that gives the TV an elegant look. It comes with 2 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports located on the left side of the TV. One drawback is that the pedestal doesn’t swivel, there is however a wall bracket which makes hanging the TV on the wall possible. It also comes with 2 remote controls, one for its smart functions and another one for your regular TV functions.
I was expecting this 39-inchLED screen to have UHD display since the Pro Theatre lineup is all about the display quality of the TVs, but instead it has a Full-HD display. However Toshiba threw in a couple of features to make up for it. One of which is Intelligent Auto view which by analyzing lighting and signal conditions of your room, sets the screen’s brightness accordingly. Also, features like Auto Clean 2 and Auto Signal Booster are present to enhance picture details, amplify poor signals and makes subtitles much more eligible and clearer. Of course what makes this TV stand out is the fact that it’s running Android Jelly Bean 4.2 which gives you more than 2000 application to download from and to use easily on your TV. Along with web browsing and YouTube availability which makes your TV much more efficient. Screen mirroring is also one of the perks of having an Android TV, which enables users to view photos and movies from smartphones and tablets to the TV wirelessly and you can even play a game from your smartphone on your TV very smoothly. Of course these features needs Wi-Fi which is built in the 50L4300. When it comes to the sound of the TV, Toshiba added pretty much all the features it has to make sure that the sound is as clear and sharp as possible. Among which are the 20W speaker, the Power Bass Booster which increases the clarity and frequency of the bass sound of the TV and Audio Distortion Control which reduces sound distortion at high volumes. In regards of power, the 39L4300 has a 107 watts (50L4300 has a 150 watts) power consumption which is reasonable for a screen this size.
I personally think that this is a very smart TV in regards of size, software capabilities, sound and price. If however you’re looking for something with a 4K display, then you should its siblings, the 84L9300 and the 58L9300.
